This is the classic “Florist’s Silver Dollar” eucalyptus, famed for its intensely silver, rounded juvenile leaves. It is often grown as a seasonal annual foliage plant or maintained as a large shrub by coppicing. As a tree, it can become quite large. Its stunning silver foliage is unbeatable for adding cool color and texture to gardens and arrangements.
-
The premier species for intensely silvery-blue, rounded juvenile leaves that are the staple of the cut flower industry.
-
When coppiced annually or biennially, it can be maintained as a large, multi-stemmed foliage shrub (6-15 ft tall) to continually produce the prized silver foliage.
-
If left to grow as a tree, it will develop longer, greener lance-shaped adult leaves and a significant size.
-
Shares the same cultural needs: full sun, excellent drainage, and low water once established.
-
Provides unmatched metallic silver color in the garden and is a must-have for flower arrangers.
